What this is

The site compiles information from public records to make it easier to search and read. It is a dataset, not an investigation, and nothing here is legal, financial, or professional advice. It does not allege wrongdoing by any person, vendor, or city.

Verify before you rely on it. Every figure links to its source document. The data is provided "as is" and may contain errors, omissions, or lag behind the official record. Before relying on any number, check the linked source. We make no warranty of accuracy, completeness, or fitness for any purpose, and are not liable for decisions made from this information.

Not affiliated with any government

The Gov Transparency Project is independent and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or speaking for any city, the State of Utah, or any government body. References to cities and officials describe public records, nothing more.

Using the data

The underlying records are public. You're welcome to read, share, and cite the data; please link back to the source document and to this site, and don't present the figures in a way that misstates what they measure. Automated bulk access should be reasonable and not degrade the service for others.

Sponsorships

Sponsoring a city is optional and supports the project's costs. A sponsorship never changes how a city's data or meeting scores are presented. The specific terms, amount, and billing are shown at checkout and handled by Stripe.

Corrections

If something is wrong, tell us through the contact form on the home page and we'll review it against the source and correct it where warranted.

Changes and governing law

We may update these terms; the "last updated" date will reflect any change. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Utah.
